Safeguarding seminar spearheaded by Chief Rabbi

Over 120 rabbis and rebbetzins journeyed from across the UK to attend a safeguarding training seminar spearheaded by the Chief Rabbi. The aim was to educate and empower religious leaders, providing them with the tools and understanding needed to identify and deal with child abuse so that a too-often hidden ill in our communities is exposed. Attendees were informed of the Halachic requirements for tackling child abuse, and listened to guidance from a host of professionals, including senior police officers, psychotherapists and Valerie Mirvis, who currently works as a social worker.
