The Chief Rabbi visits Los Angeles Jewish community
The Chief Rabbi has made his first visit to the West Coast of the United States where he was warmly-received by the Los Angeles Jewish community.
During a busy Bank Holiday weekend visit, the Chief Rabbi first addressed students of Gindi Maimonides Academy in Beverley Hills, and was later received at the home of a local community member. Here he educated a select gathering about the qualities needed to be a great leader.
Over Shabbat, the Beth Jacob congregation bestowed the honour of ‘Shabbat Scholar in Residence’ upon Chief Rabbi Mirvis, who delivered a drosha on Shabbat morning, spoke at Shabbat lunch about strategies for maintaining one’s faith in the modern world and later called for inclusivity in the Jewish community in a keynote address.
