D’var Torah: Parashat Beshalach

After the Jewish people have emerged from the parted sea and escaped the pursuing Egyptian army, the Torah describes Miriam, who is leading the other women in musical celebrations, as both a ‘prophetess’ and as Aharon’s, rather than Moses’ sister.
